Most windows are installed from the inside of the home or building. In certain specific situations, it may require that the installation specialist completes some of the work from the outside.

Are installations done all year? Will I lose valuable heated/cooled air during the installation process?

Installations are completed any time of the year. Window World of Steubenville installs windows one by one, ensuring that the minimum amount of heated or cooled air is lost. The energy savings of Low-E windows will pay for any lost heated/cooled air within a week of installation.

What do I need to do to prepare my home for new vinyl replacement windows?

The most helpful thing a homeowner can do before an installation is to remove any obstructions around the window(s) to be replaced. Blinds, curtains, drapes, etc should be taken down to allow for maximum access to the window. Also fragile properties should be removed from the immediate installation area, and nearby wall décor should be removed as well, to minimize the likelihood of anything falling or being damaged.

How long does it take for a typical installation?

Replacement windows will be prepared and installed 4-8 weeks from the final date of measurements and preparations. The type and size of the window to be replaced will determine the installation time. Trimming, cleaning, and any additional work will require slightly more time once the window is completed. The average window will take approximately 30 minutes, and the majority of jobs are completed within a single day.

What is done with my old windows?

Windows are removed from your property and disposed of properly, unless you wish to keep them. Should you wish to retain possession of older windows, please inform the installation specialists at the time of arrival.
